The History of American Red Cross Nursing Official Hardcover book!
At 100 years old(published in 1922), this book has several signs of wear and stress. Damage to the spine and front and back covers. Scratches and scrapes cover the exterior. And the interior pages appear to have some moisture staining at the edges, and pencil marks on a few pages.
This book - and portions of this book - have been reprinted over the years, but this is the original.
It appears that this copy once belonged to the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing. As indicated by the writing on the front cover and ink stamps on the sides of the book.
There is a library check-out card in back showing that the last date it was checked out was March 2nd, 1951. At some point, it seems to have become part of the Historical Collection , possibly still belonging to the school.
