Rare Find!!Well ladies, I have been holding off on selling this amazing 1950's B. Altman & Co. Swing Coat. It's time for someone to wear!It was made by Main Street and has a tag that says dry clean only.It has been professionally cleaned, and I think it is in beautiful condition--I don't see any issues.Pet and smoke free zone, quick ship and professionally packagedThe B. Altman label was loose on right side so I had to sew it back on as best possible given it was not straight to begin with. There is no material tag, but it appears that the full lining is probably rayon. The swing coat itself looks like a poly-cotton blend.Swing coats were..."a style that was popular in the 1950s; Jane Russell in the film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) wore some stunning examples of swing coats. There is no size tag, see my measurements: 40" bustline and 41" long.I think it is moremedium-large.The Dolman sleeves can be cuffed--I show in the images, one sleeve up and one cuffed. Can't measure due to Dolman styling. The details to the coat are amazing--side pockets, wide collar, and stitching details along cuffs and neckline."Altman and Company was a luxury department store and chain, founded in 1865 in New York City, New York, by Benjamin Altman. Its flagship store, the B. Altman and Company Building at Fifth Avenue and 34th Street in Midtown Manhattan, operated from 1906 until the company closed the store at the end of 1989."#vintageswingcoat#1950'sfashion #1950'sswingcoat
